Description

ChatAPPTM is an interactive case series presentation and discussion about the practical care of inflammatory bowel disease patients, by APPs, for APPs. The target audience of this program is advanced practice providers and IBD nurses caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. With limited offerings for advanced practice specific training in inflammatory bowel disease, this virtual monthly series seeks to fill that gap with high level case reviews, guideline translation and multidisciplinary care model education. The virtual offering of this program will create equity in access to educational offerings for advanced practice providers in rural areas. Multidisciplinary inflammatory disease colleagues will be included to engage in discussion to enhance comprehensive care for patients with concomitant inflammatory disease. This engagement will improve the learner’s understanding of efficacious care that decreases the patient’s burden of managing multiple inflammatory conditions and also the resources taxed by the healthcare system for the management of chronic disease. Through the aforementioned processes, ChatAPPTM will diversify the educational offerings available to advanced practice providers in a targeted and directed approach geared towards advanced practice.
