Learning Objectives:

1. Recognize that changes in epidemiology of myocarditis over the past century as the impact on the apparent clinical spectrum of disease.

2. Describe the clinical, imaging and histologic predictors of death, ventricular arrhythmia and heart transplantation in acute myocarditis.

3. Differentiate the treatment of lymphocytic myocarditis from giant cell myocarditis, immune checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis, and cardiac sarcoidosis.
