Objectives:

1. Understand the basics of febrile neutropenia, review research gaps

2. Discuss main aims and prelim data results of my current research study in febrile neutropenia (FN)

3. Review literature about Pediatric Fever and Neutropenia Guidelines of empirical antibiotic selection

4. Review pathogens isolated from blood culture of pediatric FN patients at our institution to evaluate the appropriateness of ceftazidime therapy for the empiric treatment and identify an optimal antibiotic regimen for these patients if indicated
