After the lecture the learner will understand the laws that protect pregnant women in the workplace, including those that require employers to provide pregnancy accommodations and leave.

  • Learning Objective 2: After the lecture the learner will understand the role of the prenatal care provider in supporting pregnant patients’ abilities to earn an income while maintaining a healthy pregnancy.
  • Learning Objective 3: After the lecture the learner will understand the unintended negative consequences that inappropriately written work accommodation notes may have for patients, and will have learned how to write medically and legally appropriate work notes.
