DESCRIPTION:

3rd Year Fellow talk to discuss the current standard of care for fitness assessment among older adults with AML, including the comprehensive geriatric assessment. We will discuss the history and relevance of sarcopenia and potential future directions for targeting it as a therapeutic modality in older adults with AML.

  • Understand the current standard of care for fitness assessment of older adults with AML
  • Understand the definition of sarcopenia
  • Understand future directions for treatment of sarcopenia, including the role of nutrition, exercise, and anti-cachectic agents
