Learning Objectives:

1. To review and discuss adverse events, near misses, and other clinical cases pertaining to anesthesia quality at UCMC;

2. To benchmark these events to local and national norms, review existing literature, and preventative and therapeutic strategies, and discuss systems issues that may improve care.

3. Explore strategies to avoid/reduce adverse events related to perioperative care.
