●Abdominal ultrasound
○Assess the renal mass
○Confirm patency of IVC and rule out IVC tumor thrombus

 

●Abdominal CT
○Is the tumor from the kidney or just displacing it
○Potential invasion of adjacent structures

 

●Chest X Ray and CT
○Evidence of metastases
