DESCRIPTION:

Dr. Derman will discuss clinical and research developments within the UChicago multiple myeloma program while comprehensively covering evolving standards of care for high-risk smoldering myeloma, newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, initial and later relapses.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Discuss developments in treatment for high-risk smoldering myeloma
• Review standards of care for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, including the role of transplant, maintenance, and treatment de-escalation
• Identify the evolving standard of care for initial relapses in myeloma
• Review data for treatments for heavily-pretreated myeloma
