DESCRIPTION:

The talk will be covering the history of Thomas Hodgkin one of the 19 century giant physicians who had a tremendous influence on medicine and why his legacy is still valid these days. The second topic is dealing with the current development and controversies regarding the treatment of Hodgkin Lymphoma.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • PET at baseline provides information regarding MTV that will be crucial for decision of initial therapy (ABVD/BvAVD)
  • RT may be omitted based on interim PET in early non-bulky disease
  • Chemotherapy course may be shortened based on interim PET (BrECADD)
  • NIVO-AVD course might be shortened in the future based on Circulating Tumor DNA test
