1. Describe the biologic basis of sperm DNA fragmentation and review the various testing methodologies, including their strengths and limitations.
  2. Evaluate the evidence supporting the clinical utility of sperm DNA fragmentation testing and appropriate applications for the test, with particular emphasis on guideline recommendations and areas of controversy.
  3. Apply an evidence-based approach to incorporating DNA fragmentation test results into clinical management and counseling of patients.
