1. Understand the different patterns of impairment that could underlie a patient’s complaint of “I keep forgetting things”.
  2. Understand the difficulties and issues of doing research on forgetting, and why some claims in scientific literature are unwarranted.
  3. Learn about the main findings in brain disease, and how two patterns of forgetting have emerged, one of which (the less common) appears to be specific for epilepsy.
