Differentiate between immunoassays and functional assays, interpret laboratory results within the clinical context, and distinguish HIT from other causes of thrombocytopenia. - Implement evidence-based management strategies
Apply immediate management steps for suspected HIT, including discontinuation of heparin, initiation of alternative anticoagulation, and planning for safe long-term treatment and prevention of complications.
