1) Provide details on the common causes of and evaluation for heavy menstrual bleeding in adolescents
2) Review etiologies and lab evaluation of iron deficiency anemia in young women
3) Understand the most common bleeding disorders associated with menorrhagia in the adolescent population
4) Identify the hormonal and hematologic treatment modalities available for use in the adolescent with heavy menstrual bleeding
5) Determine when a referral to a Pediatric Hematologist and/or Pediatric Gynecologist is recommended
