Learning Objectives:

1.  Identify advancement in surgical critical care, and formulate a treatment plan based on available medical and surgical literature.

2. Provide a cross-specialty/multidisciplinary educational approach to scientific literature review.

3. Develop teaching and effective presentation skills in the form of lectures or discussions focused on synopsis of pertinent medical literature, to an audience including medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians.
