Brief talk synopsis: Oncologic care requires a high level of multidisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration.  Prior studies have shown that medical students are not exposed to all facets of the oncology care spectrum during medical school.  The Scholars in Oncology-Associated Research (SOAR) program was developed as a novel curriculum to expose medical students to the oncology care spectrum, multidisciplinary care, and interprofessional care.  This presentation will describe the rationale for development of SOAR, methods of curriculum design and implementation, and pilot evaluation data from the first cohort of SOAR students.
