Objectives:

1.  Attendees will have a greater understanding of the systemic barriers faced by victims of domestic violence and identify ways in which attendees can adjust their practice to provide empathic victim sensitive services.

2.  Attendees will have a greater understanding of domestic violence laws and police response which they will be able to apply in safety planning.

3.  Attendees will be able to identify ethical dilemmas in their practice around mandatory reporting, hospital reporting and confidentiality and have an understanding of what is required by statute and how to work navigate any reporting mandates.
