Learning Objectives:
•Aspiration of saliva and feeds from the proximal pouch into the airways
•Aspiration of gastric contents through the fistula, leading to pneumonitis
•Impaired ventilation secondary to inhaled air passing through the fistula and into the GI tract
•Subsequent gastric distention with mass effect on the diaphragm, lungs, and mediastinum
