1. Discuss how to evaluate airways disease in the 21st century, moving away from umbrella terms, and the implications for treatment of pre-school wheeze and severe asthma.
2. Appreciate how to approach the child with asthma not responding to standard treatment.
3. Review the importance of asthma attacks as against ‘exacerbations’.
