Objectives:

1. To discuss differential sodium reabsorption in proximal and distal tubules in African American patients with CKD compared to Caucasian patients with CKD

2. To discuss if African American patients with CKD could be at higher risk of calcium oxalate supersaturation and crystal formation in proximal tubules, leading to progression of CKD.
