  2. Summarize the results of the secondary analysis of the SPRINT trial on patients 80+ years.
  3. Evaluate the applicability of the current guidelines and new publication results for our patient population

Objectives for Dr. Shervani (Falling into Trouble):

  1. Discuss a case of phenytoin toxicity presenting as recurrent falls
  2. Discuss morbidity and mortality of falls and fall risk factors/evaluation
  3. Discuss use and dosing recommendations for phenytoin in older adults
  4. Brief review of other medications associated with increased risk of falls in older adults
