Objectives

  1. Understand adequate selection of imaging protocols and technique of multislice helical abdominal and pelvic CT exams, tailored to clinical working hypothesis.
  2. Understand limitations of selections made
  3. Recognize characteristic imaging findings of common causes of abdominal and pelvic pain, such as acute cholecystitis, pancreatitis, obstructive renal or ureteral stone, pyelonephritis, hernia, appendicitis and diverticulitis.
