Be able to describe some primary factors contributing to Failure to Rescue (FTR) in perioperative critical events related to: the event, itself you others involved (the team) the environment and available resources (the setting)

Be able to explain the probabilistic nature of how FTR events unfold and how multiple factors may interact to make rescue challenging

Be able to describe some ways to minimize, mitigate, or counteract some of the factors contributing to FTR in your own practice
