Objectives

1. Discuss routine motility diagnostic studies – manometry, electrogastrography (EGG)

2. Discuss mechanisms of functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGID) and their relationship to motility disorders and to conditions outside the GI tract

3. Describe the symptom questionnaire as an instrument towards defining patient phenotypes
