Objectives:
1. Identify sources of lead and explain why children are at increased risk of lead poisoning
2. Understand the medical effects of lead, specifically the effects on neurocognitive functioning and the research that supports the presence of these effects at low blood lead levels
3. Recognize the potential role of Early Intervention services for lead-exposes children and the capacity of Early Intervention to serve these children
4. Appreciate the ongoing efforts in Illinois to improve services for children who have been leadd exposed
