1. Brain morphology is significantly different for Chiari 1 malformation patients compared to healthy controls.

2. Resistance to cerebrospinal fluid motion is greater for Chiari 1 malformation patient compared to healthy controls and decreases after decompression surgery.

3. The brain undergoes slight motion and strain during the cardiac cycle. Both the strain and motion are elevated for Chiari 1 malformation patients compared to controls.
