Objectives:
- Identify important changes made to the 2019 State of IL Perinatal HIV Guidelines
- Correctly apply the 2019 State of IL Perinatal HIV Guidelines to neonates born to HIV-infected women at UCMC
- Provide culturally-sensitive guidance to health care workers faced with important decisions around providing care to HIV-infected women and their neonates.
- - review previous RTCs related to treatment for ROP
- - understand risks and benefits of anti-VEGF agents
- - consider the potential effects of anti-VEGF agents on neurodevelopment
- - review a possible prospective RTC using a new anti-VEGF agent
