1.Appreciate that the medical community recognizes child abuse pediatricians as the medical experts in child maltreatment evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
2.Learn that terms to describe MOI “Manner of Injury”: abuse, neglect, accidental, natural disease, medically indeterminate, and incomplete investigation.
3.Know when a skeletal survey is indicated and when it is indicated.
4.Appreciate the importance of good quality photo documentation and SCENE re-enactment to improve the ability to discern manner of injury.
