Description

The ENT Tumor board is a group of doctors and other healthcare professionals and other health care providers with different specialties that meets regularly at the hospital to discuss cancer cases and share knowledge. The group includes physicians representing Medical Oncology, Otolaryngology, Pathology, Radiology, and Radiation Oncology. Other healthcare professionals participating include speech and swallowing, nursing, nutritionist, and residents. All head and neck cases that come to the University of Chicago are presented prior to treatment. The board's goal is to determine the best possible cancer treatment and care plan for an individual patient and determine eligibility for clinical trials.
